Bartolo Colon’s new Mets contract is joyous news for Noah Syndergaard.

For Noah Syndergaard, Christmas is a time to celebrate the important things in life. Like teammate Bartolo Colon’s new contract with the Mets.

The big righty posted a photo on Instagram Thursday night of him and his family wearing t-shirts in honor of Colon’s one-year, $ 7.25 million extension.

A picture of Colon with the words “Big Sexy” underneath adorn the blue and orange tees, which cleary are a big seller in the Syndergaard household.

““Big Sexy” shirts were quite the hit. Glad to have the big man back this year. Merry Christmas to all! #bartolo,” Syndergaard wrote.

Colon’s return is welcome news for a pitching staff that’s arguably the best in baseball, thanks to Syndergaard and fellow star hurlers Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom and Steven Matz.

The question marks for the NL champions revolve around their offense. Not only have the Mets done little to improve their hitting this offseason, they’ve already lost playoff home run hero Daniel Murphy to the Nationals and have reportedly given up on bringing back slugger Yoenis Cespedes.
