WATCH: Notre Dame guard stares creepily at CBS reporter
- Updated: March 21, 2016
Round two of basketball players staring a little too intently at reporters featured Notre Dame guard Matt Farrell Sunday night.
After the Fighting Irish took down Cinderella hopeful Stephen F. Austin with a buzzer beating win, Farrell creepily locked eyes with CBS reporter Allie LaForce while she interviewed center Zach Auguste.
From the way Farrell looked first into the camera before setting his eyes intensely on LaForce, it seemed like the guard might have known what he was doing and intended it as a joke. But it didn’t land, as the point guard only managed to look absurd and disturbing.
H.S. BASKETBALL PLAYER STARES AT REPORTER IN INTERVIEW

Notre Dame player Matt Farrell creepily stares at CBS reporter Allie LaForce in a postgame interview Sunday night.
His burning stare came only a week after a Minnesota High School basketball player was caught “staring straight through the soul” of a female broadcast reporter.
Farrell scored eight points and dished out four assists in the thrilling 76-75 win that sent the Irish to the Sweet Sixteen for the second straight year. Unlikely hero Rex Pflueger — who had not scored a field goal since March 5 — tipped in the game-winning basket with 1.7 seconds remaining.

“Are you kidding me? Are you freakin’ kidding me? That was unbelievable,” Notre Dame coach Mike Brey said after the late-game heroics.
He may as well have been referencing his point guard’s questionable post-game antics with that reaction as well.
