Virginia Tech RB J.C. Coleman wears gold watch vs. Ohio St.
- Updated: September 8, 2015

J.C. Coleman (c.) of Virginia Tech draws some attention to himself by wearing what looks like a gold watch on his right wrist while playing.
You can call Virginia Tech running back J.C. Coleman the Watchman.
The senior sent Twitter into a bit of a frenzy after wearing what looked like a gold Rolex on the field during the Hokies 42-24 loss to No. 1 Ohio State on Monday.
According to ESPN, the watch was not made of gold – though it was gold in color – it was a plastic G-Shock that is permitted to be worn on the field during play.
The Hokies Journal tweeted that Coleman wore a black G-Shock during the preseason and that the back gave his reason for it: “I just feel like it’s my time.”
While social media had a field day, Coleman managed juts 43 yards on 12 carries and fumbled in the loss.
