Victor Cruz enjoys NFL ‘Return’ bash despite injury: report
- Updated: September 8, 2015

It’s unclear when Victor Cruz will be Salsa-dancing again for the Giants due to nagging injury.
Victor Cruz’s return to the field remains up in the air, but that didn’t stop the Giants’ receiver from throwing a massive bash over the weekend to celebrate his return from last year’s horrific knee injury against the Eagles.
According to TMZ, Cruz’s family threw a party at his New Jersey home over the weekend, complete with a “Return”-themed cake and “Return”-themed balloons, and guests played trivia games about the history of Cruz’s already-storied career with the Giants. More than 60 guests attended, according to the gossip website.

Cruz, however, continues to be slow in his recovery. The receiver seemed to get off to a flying start in his recovery early on in the spring and summer, but progress halted midway through training camp. He’s said that his right knee, in which he suffered a torn patellar tendon, is fine, but his left calf has been the cause of the problems.
Cruz did not play in a preseason game and his return for the Cowboys’ regular season opener remains in doubt. On Monday, coach Tom Coughlin said the receiver was still only doing non-weight-bearing exercises in a pool. Cruz has not practiced since mid-August and would likely have to practice Wednesday and Thursday in order to have a chance to play Sunday. He has not been ruled out for the opener, though.
