]]>Reaction to Tom Brady’s DeflateGate court victory was divided — by state lines.
While all of New England celebrated Thursday’s federal court decision clearing Brady to play next week, folks in Times Square were a little less thrilled by the ruling.
“I think he did it,” said tourist Michael Moran, 22, in the Crossroads of the World. “It’s too obvious. He did it to win … It’s too tempting.”
His pal Steve Hodges, 32, said the four-time Super Bowl MVP expected to triumph again in his showdown with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
“He knew he’d get away with this,” said Hodges. “He has access to (the) balls, of course he’s going to deflate them to have the advantage. You have the power in your hands.”

Up in Foxborough, Mass., where the Patriots are hosting the Giants in the last exhibition game for both teams, season ticketholder Kevin Lynch was ecstatic before Thursday’s kickoff.

“I knew he was innocent,” said Lynch, sporting a black Brady No. 12 jersey outside Gillette Stadium. “The NFL didn’t know nothing.”
Brady will be on the field next week for the season opener after the NFL decided not seek an injunction benching the quarterback as the case continues through the court system.
