Patriots to talk to NFL about bringing back equipment guys
- Updated: September 5, 2015

Now that the Patriots have Tom Brady back after Deflate saga, the team says it will talk to the NFL about possibly bringing back two suspended equipment guys.
It seems as though the Patriots are open to having the two employees at the center of Deflategate back on their team.
During a pre-game radio interview with 98.5 FM Thursday, Patriots team president Jonathan Kraft announced that the team plans to ask the NFL about reinstating suspended equipment personnel John Jastremski and Jim McNally.
“I’m sure that’s something we’ll be talking about,” Kraft said about the possibility of a reunion with the duo.

Neither Jastremski nor McNally may be reinstated without the approval of NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent, the NFL said in announcing the penalties against the Patriots, which also included a record $ 1 million fine and the loss of draft picks. An NFL spokesman said the team has not yet made a request for their reinstatement.

Jastremski and McNally — who referred to himself as “The Deflator” according to the Wells Report — were both former ball boys for the team whose roles evolved within the organization over years of employment. The report determined that “it is more probably than not” that the two participated in “a deliberate plan to circumvent the rules by releasing air from the Patriots game balls” during the AFC Championship game that launched the Deflategate saga.
Both men also bashed Tom Brady in text message conversations obtained by the Wells Report.
“Tom sucks…im going to make that next ball a f—-n balloon,” McNally wrote in one text.
“F— Tom,” McNally said in another.
