Patriots' odds for Steelers opener improve after ruling
- Updated: September 4, 2015

Tom Brady and the Patriots are now a 7-point favorite over Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers.
Thursday’s ruling in favor of Tom Brady was welcome news to gamblers who put early money on the Patriots for Week 1 and the Super Bowl.
According to Pregame.com, after U.S. District Court Judge Richard Berman vacated Brady’s four-game suspension, the Patriots spiked to a seven-point favorite over the Steelers ahead of their opening-night matchup next Thursday night in Foxborough. The Patriots were only a 2½-point favorite when it was believed Brady would be suspended for the game.

New England’s Super Bowl odds have also risen, according to the website. On the assumption Brady would miss the first four games, the Patriots were listed at 10-1 to win Super Bowl 50 and repeat as champions. With Brady back in the fold from the outset, the Patriots’ Super Bowl odds are now 8-1.
The only teams with better Super Bowl odds are the Seahawks (6-1), Packers (6-1) and Colts (7-1).
