NFL considering settlement with Tom Brady: report
- Updated: July 23, 2015

Tom Brady makes his case in an appeal at the NFL’s Park Avenue offices last month.
The NFL is ready to play “Let’s Make A Deal.”
The league, looking to bring the DeflateGate saga to a cose, has opened discussions with Tom Brady about a settlement of his gour-game suspension, Pro Football Talk reported late Wednesday night, citing a league source.

The report cautions that no progress has been made towards a deal. Brady’s representatives, including the NFL Players Association, have been resolute in their stance that anything less than a complete repeal of his suspension would lead them to take the fight against the NFL to federal court.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says ‘there is no timetable’ for a decision on Tom Brady’s appeal.
PFT, citing its source, also reports that commissioner Roger Goodell is being urged by “a small handful of influential owners” to hold his ground on the four-game suspension.
On Tuesday, Goodell said “there is no timetable” for a decision on Brady’s appeal, which was made last month during a 10-hour meeting at the NFL’s New York offices.
