Kaminsky thrilled, Bill Murray stunned by Wisconsin win
- Updated: March 21, 2016

Wisconsin’s Bronson Koenig hits a three to send Wisconsin into the Sweet Sixteen.
Xavier fan Bill Murray has joined the likes of crying Kentucky fan (Class of 2016) and Villanova’s sad piccolo girl (Class of 2015).
Murray’s meme-worthly look of stunned silence after the Musketeers lost on a falling, last-second three-pointer by Wisconsin’s Bronson Keonig was a direct contrast to the pure joy ex-Badgers star Frank Kaminsky got out of the game-winner.
While Kaminsky’s connection to Wiscy is clear, Murray’s is somewhat lesser-known — his son, Luke, is an assistant on Chris Mack’s staff at the Cincinnati school.

Bill Murray can’t believe what he just saw.
So when Koenig sent the Musketeers marching home — “I knew it was going in before it even left my hand. That’s a shot I practice a lot pregame. I just let it fly and I knew it was going in,” Koenig said. — Murray could hardly believe what he saw, staring blankly ahead while a young girl in the row behind him broke down in tears.
Kaminsky, on the other hand, lost it. The 6-11 forward — now with the Charlotte Hornets — jumped from his couch and did a soccer-style sliding celebration across the tiled floor.
If Kaminsky was watching at home, he hasn’t done much decorating. The pad looked like college housing: Big TV, one poster on the wall, bar in the corner and boxes and bags everywhere.
