Here's how to play Facebook's hidden March Madness game
- Updated: March 21, 2016

Messenger Madness, a hidden game built into Facebook’s chat app, lets friends face off in a swipe-based basketball shooting contest.
March Madness is here and Facebook wants to be part of the game.
The social network developed a hidden game on Messenger that lets friends play basketball with each other.
The game, appropriately called Messenger Madness, can be accessed by sending the basketball emoji to your friends on the Messenger mobile app—it doesn’t work on desktop. Once the emoji is on the chat, click on it and you’ll be redirected to a basketball court where you’ll have to fling balls at the basket.

Facebook developed a hidden Messenger game in time for March Madness.
Messenger Madness starts easy, but with each basket you make the ball starts moving and making it harder to shoot from different angles. If you reach 10 points, the basket itself starts moving from side to side. The game ends and restarts every time you miss a basket.
Your friends will be notified with your new high score when you’ve finished a game, prompting them to try and beat it with a new game. It’s time to bring your A game!
