Henson blocks Barnes, stares him down and gets tossed

Jon Henson tossed Matt Barnes’ shot aside then got tossed himself.

The lanky Bucks big man emphatically swatted a Barnes layup away — with Milwaukee already up 10 and just 5.5 second to go — and then stared the Grizzlies’ chief hothead down.

Referee Marc Davis quickly pushed Henson away. After a review, Henson was slapped with a double technical and ejected. He left the court with his arms above his head, egging the raucous crowd on.

Barnes was also ejected and sprinted off the court toward the locker room, with security following after him, but what happened next is something of a mystery.

While the Racine Journal Times reported that Barnes went into the Bucks’ locker room looking for Henson after the game, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that things didn’t rise beyond “tension in the hallways.”

Matt Barnes winds up getting ejected late in a Grizzlies loss to the Bucks.

“Just got in the heat of things man, guys going back and forth,” Henson told the paper. “It happens. I’m just glad it didn’t hurt my team, man.”
